We still sin! It's one of those ugly truths about the Christian life, isn't it? Like finding a facial zit on your wedding day, it's not a truth we want anyone to see. Hide it, cover it up, secret it away. When someone asks, "How are you?" on a Sunday morning, we say, "Good, how are you?" but we are not always good. A sin hidden from God, hidden from brothers and sisters in Christ, separates us from one another. Bonhoeffer writes, "He who is alone with his sin is utterly alone." If we have leant anything from our "love one another" series, it is this: Loneliness isn't how we roll. We need one another.
So, what are we to do? How do we remain in fellowship with God and one another if we still sin? God gives us the answer in James 5:13-16; 1 John 1:5-10; Psalm 32. Confess your sins to one another and be forgiven.
