The prophets of Baal have been exposed and the people have repented (if only for a season). We don't see, however, any brokenness on the part of Ahab. He believed Elijah about the coming rain but not about his own sin. Nothing affects our fellowship with God more than the presence of sin in our lives. Elijah separates himself and cries out to God. He was rewarded for resting, trusting and waiting on God. In the end, we see that when God sends blessings in repentance, he does so exceedingly and abundantly.
