No one is brought into the Kingdom & not suited up to serve. Every true Christian is expected to serve & will give an account of his/her service upon the return of the Master. The Parable of the Minas teach us that the Master expects a profit. Jesus is concerned about the quantity of our service. The Parable of the Talents teach us that Jesus factors in our relative gift & ability. The Parable of the Vineyard Workers informs us of the necessity of pure heart motives in our service. Many who labor long & sacrifice much are yet liable to a spirit of self-promotion which destroys the value of their kingdom service. This is a sobering study calling us to serve diligently & with purity of heart.
