This is the message that started the "Family Driven Faith" firestorm. This exposition of Ephesians 6:1-4 challenges the very foundation of age-segregated ministry in the local church. The Bible makes it clear that parents (not Sunday school teachers, youth ministers, or teachers) are responsible for the discipleship of their children. Moreover, the church has a responsibility to avoid efforts that undermine this biblical imperative. Unfortunately, much of what we have done for the past several decades has worked against biblical discipleship in the home. There must be a reformation in this area. This message has been the spark for such a reformation in countless lives and local churches around the world.

Great Sermon! One of the best sermons I heard on family! It's a must listen for all Pastors!

Families are the key to evangelism Fathers, YOU are responsible for decipling and raising your children, NOT the church. Our kids are leaving the faith because we do not value children, and we relegate our parental responsiblities to others.
He explains why "youth ministies" fail to conform to the Biblical mandate of descipleship.

Strong words This is a great sermon that reminded me how important it is for me to disciple my children not just take them to church. We have 4 kids and get funny looks and comments all the time. But I can't imagine not having the blessing of all if them. If The Lord will send us more we will gladly take them.

Having Youth Ministry Issues? Life-changing sermon! PASTORS, ARE YOU LISTENING?: By A.D. 2100, 16M Southern Baptists will shrink to 250,000. Why? (1.) "We aren't having enough kids!" (2.) Evangelism Rate: Out of every 43 Southern Baptists only one led to Christ. (3.) Ineffective Evangelization of SBC Kids: Youth ministry not biblical and not working. Dr. Baucham's antidote?: (a.) "Have a boat-load of kids!" AND (b.) Fathers: "Disciple your children!" AND (c.) "Honor a woman with 6-7 children!" A classic sermon by Dr. Baucham. Don't let the Sun go down without hearing this.

Blessed my heart! Thank you Pastor for blessing me with this sermon! Our family is southern baptist, and we currently have 5 sons. We are constantly attacked for our family size. Why can't Christians see the blessing of children!? You have refreashed my heart!

Great Sermon! Great message! Very clear and to the point without a lot of unnecessary verbiage like I so often hear from others. Keep up the good work.

Great Sermon! Great message brother...one of my favorites of yours. It is good to come back to these texts to remind ourselves what we are doing.
May the Lord continue to bless your ministry.
