Genesis 19 is an account of the judgement of God against Sodom and Gomorra. However, the interlude between the first half (establishing Sodom's guilt) and the second half (God's just wrath) of the chapter is a beautiful picture of the mercy of God extended to and through the righteous in the midst of his judgement.

Such were some of you... Thank you Voddie for this excellent expository on Genesis 19. I needed this humbling message of mercy to remind me what God has saved me from - His Wrath. And it was nothing I did nor anything in me that was worth redeeming. It was and is all of Grace and His longsuffering Mercy that saved a wretch like me. I do pray for those caught in this sin to have their eyes opened now because our life here is but a vapour and eternity is just that - eternal, no chance for repentance once our heart beats for the last time.
God Bless!

Great Sermon! Brother Voddie, you`ll never know how much encouragement this sermon has given me.I belong to a group distributing Gospel Tracts in our area and beyond, even how good our intentions are we are often misunderstood but that must not deter us.It is merciless not to tell others about Christ and His saving grace. There is mercy in Sodom!
