The fruit of the Spirit is self-control. Though God's anger is never a sinful anger, like ours usually is, He nevertheless controls it for the sake of His mercy and the fulfillment of His gracious promises. Christ, the Son of God, was a model of self-control. His resistance of Satan's temptations in the wilderness was but a microcosm of His whole life. Likewise, if the Spirit of God dwells in us, we will be self-controlled. We will exercise control over our anger, our eating and drinking, our sexual desires, our tongue, our spending, etc. This will be the inevitable result of the indwelling presence of the Spirit of God.
