God's promise is an inheritance (testament) which cannot be earned (law-keeping) (v. 18). 4. Then what purpose is the law? A. To show transgressions till the promised Seed come (v. 19) B. It was temporary, brought by angels and a mediator (v. 20) 5. Mediator not of one, but God is one? (v. 20)
