He will bring victory into your life.But one female who knows what to do is better than a thousand males who don't.While the days of the biblical Judges were troubled enough without dwelling on the underlying social fabric of the times, it must be noted that when Israel, awash in malaise and paralyzed under impotent male leadership, was delivered by the hands of two women, Deborah and Jael, the victory was particularly sweet.The military victory of Barak's foot soldiers over the chariot force of Sisera was surpassed only by Jael's conquest of the mighty general in the secret folds of her tent. It was a personal triumph that was seized by all Israel, and Jael was remembered as a true folk hero: Judges 5:24.But what really made Deborah special, and won her the respect of the men of Israel, was her closeness to the Lord.
