The other examples that Peter gives are from the early chapters of Genesis, so it seems reasonable verse 4 alludes to an early-Genesis event as well. This verse has a lot of different interpretations, and while Pastor Tim discusses some of them, he elaborates what he believes 2 Peter 2:4 is referring to. Despite how it is interpreted, we must not miss the point of this passage: God judges the wicked and rescues the righteous.
