Romans 12:1-2 urges the believer to be motivated by the immense mercy of God behind the rich doctrines of justification, sanctification, glorification, and election and by the fellowship of the brethren to live the full, renewed life of Christ before God, in the midst of the local church, and in and as a witness to the world. - How is this done? It starts with offering his whole being to God as a living sacrifice (fueled by the life of Christ in him), not conforming to the world, and saturating his mind and life with the Word of God so that "the Spirit of God takes the Word of God to conform the child of God into the image of the Son of God--all for the glory of God." - SERMON NOTES: Mind—and Life—Renewal (Rom 12:1-2) I.
