Being a mom is a full-time job which combines a number of different profession into one. Nurse, secretary, peacemaker, referee, housekeeper, interior decorator, chauffeur, teacher, dietician, baker, chef-- and so on. Since every profession has its day or week, and since mom embodies them all, then every day should be Mothers' Day. But how can we make every day, Mothers' Day? As a married man, Peter speaks from experience on how we as Christian husbands are to treat our wives, and how we as Christian children are to treat our mothers so that they are honored every day of their lives. We need to dwell with them, become students of them, give honor to them as a weaker vessel, and especially for Christian husbands, treat our wives as partners in life. In doing so, our prayers will not be hindered; We will enjoy a long, prosperous life; and we will have a positive spiritual impact on those who are unbelievers-- whether an unbelieving wife or family members. They will see Christ's love flowing through us. so, let's make every day, Mothers' day!
