This month Hollywood is launching the new movie of Dan Brown's novel the Da Vinci code. The new film launched on May 19 is a movie version of Dan Brown's Da Vinci code novel. The new Movie stars Academy award winner Tom Hanks among others. The Da Vinci code book has been a real best seller selling over 40 million copies in the world. The thesis of the novel hardly needs to be answered and we could be accused of giving it publicity by answering it. However the facts need to be stated because people who do not know the facts believe what Dan Brown claims to be fact. However the whole thing is a cod (a hoax).

The irony (and at the same time, the tragedy of it) is that the book is a story, a fiction. In a novel, the writer has the absolute liberty to do what he wants with the subject, to invent everything, to the point of endangering the state of his soul... But fiction is not reality. The pretension that the book is at the same time, fiction and reality, is a non-sense. Good argumentation of Gordon Dane, I liked especially the argument about the fragment from the Gospel of Phillip.
