what would the apostle Paul have Timothy do vis-à-vis this danger confronting the church at Ephesus. What would the Holy Spirit have ministers of the Gospel to do, in view of the fact that there will be seasons when false doctrine will arise and trouble the church of Christ.
Our text for this morning answers this question. It is Paul’s inspired response to the Holy Spirit’s warning of departures from the faith due to the influence of seducing spirits.
