Listening to this again ... Seven months later, I listened to this again, and if anything it was even richer, as it probed our spiritually loneliness — and encouraged us to faith. God’s own phrases (his Scripture phrases, like Isaiah 50:10c) are haunting, and catch us up in their depth — in this case the believer’s “walking in darkness, without light!” This resonated with my own soul, and my loneliness in this world! Loved your references to other passages like Job 30:26, Psalm 88:14-18, and Jesus’ experiences in Gethsemanie. God’s Word is so rich; and you showed us more of its gold! Thanks again.

Great Sermon! How wonderful to resource your Cornerstone FCC site, and see how many sermons are already available for listening! How much more wonderful was it to reference this sermon of “Trusting in the Darkness!” Gavin: I love the wonderful economy & precision of vocabulary that you display, as it opens up these Scripture sections! Surely this theme was well-placed for our day! For a darkness prevails over our land, and few are the places where the light shines forth and God’s truth may be heard. And yet both in text and title you pointed all of us to faith —at precisely just such times! I give thanks to God for your emigration to our shores. May God bless this ministry and this sermon! Wonderful!
