Hosea builds off the living parable of his marriage to the unfaithful Gomer by laying out the indictment against Israel. They were guilty of having no faithfulness, no steadfast love, and no knowledge of God. Their lack of knowledge of God, or suppression of the knowledge of God, would result in their destruction. If we do not grow in our knowledge of God then we will be wrapped up and swept along by the wind of this age and suffer the judgment of God.
