Once again, our study of the gospel of John continues, and we find ourselves in the last part of chapter 5. Within chapter 5 we find the powerful testimonies about Jesus Christ; His works, the signs and wonders performed during His ministry; the witness of John the Baptist, the witness of God the Father, the witness of Scripture itself—all pointing to the equality of Jesus with God.
In addition to the testimonies about Jesus, we find Jesus' own testimony about Himself and His relationship with the Father, and we will learn of the unwillingness of fallen men to believe the witnesses and their testimonies.
