Jesus has made His way to Galilee, specifically Capernaum and Nazareth (His "hometown"), and He is preaching and sharing the gospel. Galilee was heavily populated by non-Jewish people (gentiles) and it is not an accident Jesus recalls Simon Peter, Andrew, Philip, and John, Philip's sibling, and says, "Follow Me, and I will make you fishers of men." He had given them the opportunity a year before to join Him, but they evidently did not go. Here He gives them another chance and they take it. They follow Him. The truth is the overriding message of the gospel is to follow Him, but what does that entail?
