Peter is one name that stands out whenever we think of the disciples of Jesus. He is the only disciple who attempted to reprove the Lord! Peter is impulsive. By exposing Peter's failings in this context, Mark makes us aware of human weakness and the necessity to rely on God. Because His grace is sufficient for us. That is why, for Christ's sake, every believer can delight in weaknesses, insults, hardships, persecutions, in difficulties. Because we know that we have the Rock that doesn't crack!
