Some view the bodily resurrection at Christ's return as one of several separate resurrection events. Others understand it to be the one general resurrection promised in the New Testament (cf. John 5:28-29; 1 Thess. 4:13-17; Revelation 20:11-15). But what is often not considered is how this resurrection at the end of the age contributes to God's larger purpose in salvation history. This series has shown that Sacred Space has been fulfilled in Jesus Christ and it presently awaits its consummation at His return. Jesus' resurrection marked the beginning of the new creation as "life out of death," and men share in His resurrection life through their union with Him by the renewing power of His Spirit. That eternal life - inaugurated at Christ's first coming - will be consummated at His return with the bodily resurrection. And when the life of the new creation is consummated, death will also be fully and finally vanquished and the whole created order restored in a new heavens and earth. Then God's eternal purpose for sacred space will at last be fully realized.

Exceptional Sermon! This sermon is so good, so life-giving, that after listening to it, you will think that you have been "raptured!"
Kit Culver teaches that those who are "in Christ" now by virtue of having been born again have already taken part in Christ's Resurrection. That's all I'll say ... you MUST listen to the sermon for the rest of the story! It's absolutely worth 1 hour of your full attention.
