After Pharaoh warns Moses to never let him see his face again or he will die and Moses responded that Pharaoh would never see his face again, God spoke to Moses. God recorded it almost as an aside, what Moses is to do when he leaves the presence of Pharaoh. He is to tell the Israelites to ask their neighbors for their silver and gold. God had given such favor to the Israelites and Moses in the sight of Pharaoh's servants and people that they willing gave them their treasure. Pharaoh thought it was all about him, but God was preparing the Israelites to have what they would need to serve God in worship. Moses then related to Pharaoh what God had told him. In the middle of the night, God would kill the firstborn of all the people and of all the animals. These deaths would cause a loud wailing throughout the households of Egypt, but in the household of the Israelites, not even a dog would make a sound. Moses even told Pharaoh what his response would be, to send servants to command Moses to leave with whoever would follow. Even then, Pharaoh's heart would still be hard so that God would show further signs. Moses is a type of Christ. Those who would follow Moses would pass through the Red Sea and be redeemed. Are you following Christ? For there is no other way to be saved.
