This prophet had basically 2 problems . The first one is that Israel was in sin and had rejected God and the second on is God answered his prayer with a most confusing answer that must have stopped him in his tracks. Did he pray to God with an anticipated answer? I believe that he prayed with an answer in mind , and was praying for God to fix the things that were wrong with his people the way he wanted it fixed. But of course, God is going to answer according to His good pleasure. Isaiah 55:8-11
