Anything goes were their motto. Christians were the first to bring the idea of chastity into the cultures. But as the Corinthians so we also need clear thinking to be pure in both body and soul. In this passage, Paul exposes 5 misunderstandings the Corinthians believed. 1. They did not understand the true nature of Christian freedom, verse 12. 2. They undervalued the importance of the human body, verses 13, 14 3. They didn't grasp what actually takes place in every single sexual union. verses 15-17 4. They failed to see the unique nature of sexual sin, verse 18. 5. They bought into the lie one little lie at a time. verses 19-20
