The bodily resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead is not a "take-it-or-leave-it" doctrine, it is not the stuff of millennial positions, or the grain-direction of the ark's gopher wood. It is a vital, non-negotiable, historical fact whose certain truthfulness has been the stuff of Christian comfort for centuries upon centuries. We study the Rising Son by a scriptural examination of the historical veracity (the certain truthfulness) of His bodily resurrection. From the general arguments of (1) the character of the scriptures, (2) the straightforward account of the gospels, (3) the tenor and clarity of the authors regarding the truthfulness of the accounts, to specific biblical evidences seen in (1) the empty tomb, and (2) the post-crucifixion appearances of Christ.
