These commands given by Paul to the church at Thessalonica are important as he addresses the Sheep's responsibility to their shepherds, namely to appreciate them and esteem them in love, not because of any other reason except for their work. The work that leaders in the church should be Esteemed for, is that they Labor unto weariness and in weariness, both mentally and physically, preaching and teaching, prayer, shepherding, visitation, etc, and 2ndly they “have charge over you” --those who are concerned about you, -- those who stand before you as protectors” and 3rdly they give instruction and Admonish Members for their own good
