April 8, 2018 PHILIPPIANS Marks of the True Minister of the Gospel Philippians 2:19-24 Lesson 12 Main Idea: We need to be raising true ministers of the Gospel! Some marks of the true minister of the Gospel:  Pastoral: Genuinely concerned for God’s people’s welfare (19-20)  Selfless: Seeks the interests of Christ rather than his own (21)  Diligent: Slavishly serves with his leaders in the Gospel (22)  Submissive: Obeys the leaders who send him (23-24) Applications Train ministers to be concerned with the welfare of God’s people! Practice putting Christ’s interests first in Gospel ministry. Bond with your leaders in sharing the difficulties of ministry. Obey your faithful leaders—go where they send you! Find and select leaders who have these qualities!
