Joseph dreamed a dream and told it to his brethren, and they hated him yet the more. Joseph is misunderstood by his brothers, his father, and by most everyone else, including us. Joseph's life proved that he was a giving, caring person, with a servant's heart and a desire to be a blessing to others. Telling his family about his dreams was not what they took it to be. Joseph was simply trying to tell them that one day they would understand him and that one day he would be a blessing to them. He was not trying to tell them that he would one day rule over them, but that he would prove his pure intentions and good will toward them.
