It is often misunderstood as to why God had ordered the Jews to kill all the inhabitants of Jericho and certain other people they were warring against (cf. Joshua 11:11 / 1 Samuel 15:3).
These slaughters are often used as an objection against Christianity, or at least against the “Old Testament God”. If one is not careful it can seem like a good argument. Many Christians I have known have not known how to answer this accusation. How can God be so good when He ordered His people to slaughter innocent babies?

Great Sermon! This sermon is a great resource in understanding the sovereignty of God in a way that is tangible to everyone. Praise God that HE DID!

Is God showing us a mirror? I find it interesting that we could say 'How Could He?', and be mad at a God for His judgement of sin, yet when He shows us absolute truth and love, we spit in His face and say 'Crucify Him!'

I'm Glad He Is It gives me peace to know that He is so much higher and marvelous than any God that I could make up or imagine.

Submission? Where have I heard that before? People say 'My God would do this", or "My God would never do that". We can't be submissive to God and His will, but have control over what He does, and is going to do.
Great message. This could set someone's mind free...
