If salvation is by invitation, Rom 8:30 won't fit with Jn 3:16. Yet if salvation is by predestination, they fit. Born again precedes belief. So, if you now believe, you're already born again, already have life. Jn 3:16 isn't an invitation to be saved. It's assurance you are.
