That Jesus Christ rose from the dead is a fact that does not need to be proven again and again every year on Resurrection Sunday. Christ is risen indeed, but the more important issue for all of us to consider is "Am I risen with Christ?" Just hearing about the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus Christ does not save a soul and deliver from sin and death, no matter how many times you hear it. What matters is that it is a real experience in your soul. Has your "old man" been crucified with Christ and buried forever? Has the "new man" risen in your life? Is the life that you now live, Christ living in you? Before there can be a resurrection there must be a death and a burial. Eternal life begins the moment we are born again, not when our body is resurrected at some point in the future. Jesus said, "I am the resurrection and the life..." That means right now.
