His personal Presence would guarantee Power and Purpose in their lives as they sought to fulfill the great commission (Matthew 28:18-20). This is another way of saying that "The Joy of the Lord is your strength." In John 17, Jesus prayed to His Father, "But now I come to you, and these things I speak in the world, that they may have My joy fulfilled in themselves." We will be examining statements in John 16 that give us further understanding of this.
