With Great respect for our family friend Joe Cecil Red Simpson's, we honor Red by placing out his Memorial service. Red, was born March 6, 1943 passed away January 8, 2016, was a Legend but a great friend to all the young western singers in the Bakersfield are for over a half century. At 13 Minutes into the message Mario Carbonni sings Red's Song (Do I Have to Have A Hit to Go To Heaven). I do not know of anyone in this area that did not like Red. He was so gracious to everyone who ever was involved with him in the music industry. He allowed my brother Jimmy Phillips (Pray Every Day Album)to use his songs on several occasions in his Gospel recordings. Red wrote hundreds of songs in his long life. Please excuse the poor recording angle of the camera, we did not have a tripod to mount it on while recording the service.
