Sometimes deliverance does not come the way we think it should, but it is deliverance nonetheless. These listed in our text had hard times. They didn't quit though it seemed everything was going against them. This stamina, courage, or backbone is what we all need. Not everything is going to be wonderful in the Christian life. History tells us of the hardships many have endured. Faith is costly. Suffering for the cause of Christ is to be expected, but that is fine for Jesus has something far better for us. These hard times help build our faith. There may come a time even when we for our faith will even have to do without basic necessities. Some may not like that and turn in fear, but for those who are willing to give the little as much as in the big their faith will grow stronger. These here in our text show us that submitting to this type of faith is rewarded. It may not be what we want; it will however be what we need. And then there is the rewards found in heaven. Do we have backbone faith? If in need He will help us develop that faith when we turn in faith to Him.
