In this section of Romans, Chapter 9, Paul continues his response to those who object to the prerogative that God exercises in choosing those who will be saved. First, Paul makes it clear that, as our creator, God has the right to do whatever he wills with us, just as a potter has power over the clay. Secondly, Paul emphasizes that God has the right to display the riches of his glory in both the salvation of the elect and in the destruction of the non-elect. These are truths that many people find difficult to receive, but who are we to find fault with God, or to call into question his ways?
