Here in Revelation 5 we see John weeping because there is no one worthy to open the seals on the scroll of the ownership for the earth, but an elder comes to him and says, "Stop weeping for lo and behold the LIon from Judah, and the Root of David, has overcome and is able to open the scroll and its seven seals."
The Seven Seals will be opened beginning in the next chapter, but before that the Lamb takes the scroll from He who is on the throne and all Heaven breaks loose in worship of the Messiah. The saints who are in Heaven via the snatching of the church described by Paul to the Thessalonians (1Thes 4.16-18) sing a "new song"--Thou art Worthy to open the scroll and break the seals, for Thou wast slain and didst redeem us for God with your blood."
The innumerable angels also break out in song, "Worthy is the Lamb that was slain."
Even the created things sing out, "Honor and glory and blessing and dominion to HIm forever and ever."
What a scene! What a prelude to the actual breaking of the seals and the Lamb's acquisition of the earth, that which was always rightfully His!
