If you remember from last week, we talked about the confidence we have that if we ask anything according to God’s will, He hears us. The key is “according to His will.” We are not sovereign - Only God is God. Really a good thing, because it is a safeguard against foolish and sinful prayers - God over rules.
Now today we come to perhaps the most difficult part of praying within God’s will. This is when it comes to praying for our loved ones who don’t know the Lord. - It’s easy talking about things - it gets real hard when we talk about people. People who we love. Especially if we know they are not walking with the Lord. So Does this passage give us hope? Does it give us confidence that these prayers for others will be answered? I think it does.
