When Jesus Christ returns at the end of the tribulation period to set up His kingdom here on earth, He will enter into a New Covenant with the believing Jewish remnant. The covenant is Unconditional in that it depends only on God for fulfillment. It is made with the "house of Israel and the house of Judah", the same group of people with whom God made the first covenant, the Mosaic law. The 'New' covenant differs from the 'old' in that the old was conditional, filled with 'Ifs', whereas there are no 'ifs' in the new. The New covenant guarantees the perpetuity of the nation Israel and her restoration to the promised land. God promises to impart a renewed mind and heart. It is an internal covenant, engraved on the human heart, pus includes the indwelling teaching ministry of the Spirit of God. God will forgive the sins of the individual Jews and collectively the sins of the nation. Every Jew entering the kingdom will know experientially the LORD! All will enjoy a personal, intimate, vital, life-changing, eternal relationship with Christ. This new covenant was instituted by Jesus Christ's death on the cross. We today can enter by faith into the spiritual blessings of this New Covenant: forgiveness of our sins, indwelling of the Spirit, reconciliation to God, an intimate, personal relationship with Jesus Christ. But the full realization awaits the kingdom when Israel will experience the New Covenant.
