God is to be praised for his great mercy in taking action to cause us to be born again to a "living hope" by means of Christ's resurrection. His resurrection has secured for us an imperishable inheritance and is keeping us in this salvation by his own heavenly power. So we rejoice in these great realities in spite of enduring all kinds of trials which serve to confirm the genuineness of our faith that results in glory for God. We cannot see our Savior but we believe in him with inexpressible joy, confident that our faith in the resurrected Christ will result in our consummated salvation at the return of the Lord.
