Many great evangelists came out of this time in Europe and Asia. This was a time of spreading the Word, of missions spreading out furtherer into the world. There was a small group of people that were calling themselves Jews, but they were not really. They felt they were the only ones who understood the Word of God. But Christ says they don't really know Him, they don't really love him, but Christ will make them worship at His feet sometime in the future, and let them know that He has loved them. Because the church of Philadelphia kept the word of Christ's patience (staying true to His word), He will spare them from the hour of tribulation. The church of Jesus Christ will not go through the tribulation. Laodicea (Lukewarm)AD1900-Rapture; This is now the age of which we live. Laodicea means the voice of the people. It is the lukewarm church. Our congregations and Sunday schools are getting smaller. European churches are almost spiritually dead. They are not teaching the Book of Revelation anymore. This church makes Jesus sick. He states “I will spue thee out of my mouth”(Rev 3:16). That means he's going to vomit them out. Laodicea was the center of banking. They didn't need anything material, and they thought they had everything. But Christ tells them are wretched, miserable, poor, blind, and naked.
