How was the greatest apostle saved? In Paul we see the pattern of God's work of grace in all hearts. Says the preacher:
"We are shut up to three possibilities. First, God will save ALL; if that is what God does, that would be UNIVERSALISM. Secondly, God will save NONE; if that be the case, we have FATALISM or PESSIMISM, and that being the case, you're not SAVED tonight and I'm not either, and no one ever will be saved. And our Third proposition is, God will save SOME; and according to the Scriptures that is right. That is the truth of the Gospel; God saves SOME of the human race, but not all of them (that is CALVINISM, or EVANGELICAL Christianity). I am going to hang you up right here, and I want you to get it. Three ways God might possibly act about this matter of His salvation, and which is RIGHT? We know that God saves SOME, and our thought tonight is to see HOW HE SAVES those that He is going to save."
