Standing Firm by Standing United is the Sermon last week. This is the continuation of the Text.
Stand Firm by Rejoicing. Then, Stand Firm with Gentleness
Paul's repetition of his exhortation to the Church of Philippi was given in Chapter 3 verse 1. It is very important to consider the word "alway" in Greek means everytime, at all times, evermore. This tell us that, no matter what, even in affliction, distress, persecution...since the word always is used,Jesus Christ's Grace towards His Flock, is always SUFFICIENT to those who has faith in Him. The redemptive Blood of Christ has a continual virtue in it. Always speaks to us his everlasting salvation and forgiveness even his love. Listen to this Sermon as Ryan gives more meaning of this "standing firm" with "gentleness" - in meekness and humility, bearing us in becoming more patient towards God, towards unbelievers, and toward other brethren. "The Lord is near" in the sense of His Omnipresent, He sees and observes all His sheep with his tender mercies towards us, that we can continue to be dependent from God in Christ Jesus.
