When Paul, Barnabus and Titus went to Jerusalem, there were false bretheren who spied on them to determine if they kept the law. These busy body legalist wanted to rob them of their Christian liberty. Likewise today there are those that would judge others by their own measureing stick and reject all that do not conform. These busy bodies are motivated by pride and self-righteousness rather than a concern for the Name of God. They destroy Christian liberity and rob the Church of its zeal and beauty. Sadly there is a bit of a legalist in many of us. We must learn to live freely and allow others to do the same. Only then will we worship in spirit and truth.
