Christ came to show forth the truthfulness of God’s character, and he confirms the promises made to the patriarchs: Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob. The fulfillment of these promises is accomplished in Christ by the ingathering of the Gentiles from all corners of the world to become participants in the larger covenant family of Israel.
