Abraham was ready to offer up his Isaac's life to God, but God, seeing His servant's heart really prepared and ready for that difficult service and highest point of self-denial, provided Himself another sacrifice instead of Isaac (Genesis 22:12). Abraham will have his son Isaac back again and with an advantage, for he has with him not only a choice test of his love for God but God's high approval of him and acceptance of his offering.
