In the PM we will continue with an examination of that Easter account and see how the world strives to minimize, dismiss, and laugh off the resurrection of Jesus Christ. We must continue to affirm His resurrection. You might remember that I said the evening sermon would look at Matthew 26.24 and the terrors of hell. The Lord changed my mind as to the **timing** of this sermon. I now plan to preach that sermon next Lord's day morning, April 24. This makes more sense for a number of reasons. One I will mention now is that we now have more time and a better opportunity to invite someone to come to church with us. Will you prayerfully consider who you will invite - and then go invite them! This will be a very important sermon for those who are comfortable rejecting Jesus Christ. ----------------- Matthew 28.11-15 The Church Must Proclaim the Resurrection – the World Won't
Theme: The church must always actively speak truth, confronting this evil plan
The evil plan… 1. …has to deal with an inconvenient truth, and we speak truth
2. …depends on the love of money, and we speak truth
3. …requires outright lies creating an alternate reality, but we speak truth
4. …has allowed that alternate reality "life" to this day, yet we speak truth
