Rescued By Grace Series:Never-ending Story Luke 19:1-10 I ask you, how can we ever forget the day when God saved us? Regardless of how, where and when, the day of your salvation is a day that you will never forget! As we look at Luke 19, we see this day in the life of Zaccheaus. Jesus said to him in verse nine, "This day is salvation come to this house." "This day" was the day of all days for Zacchaeus. As for Zacchaeus, he had interest in learning who Jesus was, and when he heard that Jesus was passing through, we read in verse three, "And he sought to see Jesus who he was..." It was not just that he wanted to see Jesus, but that he wanted to see who He was. Could it be that he had heard from others about Jesus and what He could do? We can all look through the tower viewer of our loves and tell somebody about our never-ending Story of our rescue by Grace. I think you would agree with me that something has happened to Zacchaeus! Hallelujah, that is what happens when a man gets saved.Salvation will make a new person out you. It will change the way we live.The day of our salvation marked a change in the direction of our lives.What does it mean to be saved? When Jesus said to Zacchaeus, "This day is salvation come to this house," what was He talking about? The word "salvation" means, "to rescue and bring to safety." What was Zacchaeus rescued from? He was saved or "rescued" from a life without God, in this life, and the life to come. He was delivered from an eternity without God.The day you were saved took care of that for you! You have been rescued! You have been saved!
