And we learn that God answered their prayer, not by giving them a 'top up' of boldness from heaven, but by granting them the sure and certain conviction that He was sovereign in all things. They could not but speak of what they had seen and heard – the risen Lord Jesus. May the Lord grant to us the same confidence, conviction and courage to live life in him, and to boldly give reason for the hope within us. There is no other name under heaven by which we must be saved.
