All the Old Testament promises of life giving water have found their fulfilment in Christ and in the overflow of the Spirit that He has poured out upon all flesh. This is the 'river of the water of life ' that John saw flowing from the throne of God and of the Lamb in the midst of the City of God. Who can faint while such a River flows? Our failure at times to continue to drink from the true fountain of life leaves us dry and jaded. We need to hear again of the never failing supply of His Spirit.
