Some very good men are saying that this passage really isn't for evangelism at all. But that is not how our forefathers saw it. John Flavel in his wonderful work titled "England's Duty" expounded on these words in Revelation. He was one of many who applied this text to unbelievers. His sermons have had an impact on my thinking.
John Flavel also believed that when Jesus wept over Jerusalem he was indeed weeping over the unwillingness of the reprobate whom He loved (though not with the peculiar love that He has for His bride).
