"We give thanks to God always for you all, making mention of you in our prayers; 3 ¶ Remembering without ceasing your work of faith, and labour of love, and patience of hope in our Lord Jesus Christ, in the sight of God and our Father." —1 Thessalonians 1:2-3
Paul thanked God for the Christians in the church at Thessalonica...and he told them such. That is certainly a good example that Christians in every church should follow. It would go a long way in guarding the unity of the church in the bond of peace.
He also went on to tell them what he saw in them for which he was so thankful. What lessons about a spiritually healthy church those reasons for thanksgiving teach us!
