God's unchangeableness is the foundation of our faith. If He ever wavered, forgot, or changed his mind concerning moral issues we could never rest in his Word. God does not change, but stays the same. If we are being conformed to his image then we should be getting more and more stable in our heart, mind, and soul. It is vital to our testimony as a Christian that we are not fickle, vacillating, and unstable. The way we do that is to plant our feet on the Rock himself and never look back.
